The test if antenna diversity is at all enabled uses a local variable
'flags' to prepare the test condition, but uses 'ant->flags' when the test
is evaluated. The effect is that the diversity evaluation will never start.
I can see two solutions, use the 'flag' in the test condition or revert the
local flag change. My attached patch took alternative two.
Then the evaluation start but it will still not switch antenna. The problem
is a code section in rt2x00lib_config_antenna (). The effect of that code
section is that any change the diversity function perform will be
effectively shorten and no antenna selection command issued. The attached
patch will filter out any ANTENNA_SW_DIVERSITY setting but forward all
other

Do not maintain a persistent sdio_claim_host state. Instead,
claim host before doing IO and release host soon after.
This fixes several mmc deadlock scenarios, e.g. during
suspend/resume.

In mergeable buffer case, we use headcount, log_num
and seg as indexes in same-size arrays, and
we know that headcount <= seg and
log_num equals either 0 or seg.
Therefore, the right thing to do is range-check seg,
not headcount as we do now: these will be different
if guest chains s/g descriptors (this does not
happen now, but we can not trust the guest).
Long term, we should add BUG_ON checks to verify
two other indexes are what we think they should be.

Default number of rx buffers will be divided equally
between allocated queues. This will decrease amount of
pre-allocated buffers on systems with multiple CPUs.
User can override this behavior with ethtool -G.
Minimum amount of rx buffers per queue set to 128.

The iwl_adjust_beacon_interval function is a bit
of black magic, so add comments to it describing
what it does. Also, in the case when there's no
beacon interval set, program the default into
the device (instead of adjusting, which results
in the max) since using the max in that case
interacts badly with dual-mode/PAN parameters.
Also update the PAN parameters accordingly and
use the same constant as here.

In dual-mode, a number of scenarios need to be
considered, and the firmware can be very picky
about them. Adjust the timing (most importantly

When the PAN context is unused, there's no
need to continually update it in the device.
So track which contexts are active (with the
special case that the WLAN context is always
active ...) and only send their commands to
the device when needed.

The default LQ is filled decreasingly using
iwl_get_prev_ieee_rate from a starting rate.
Since the starting rate is already the lowest one for
a specific band it should be actually filled evenly with
the starting rate: 1M and 6M for 5.2GHZ and 2.4GH respectively.
The bug is that for for A or G-only it decreases to
CCK rates which are not supported.
iwl_get_prev_ieee_rate function is just not band aware.
This affects broadcast station which lq table
is not updated by rs algorithm
G-only scenario is not treated by this patch
iwl_get_prev_ieee_rate is removed completely as it
is not used in other contexts

iterator over them.
- Replace efx_for_each_tx_queue() with iteration over channels then TX
queues
- Replace efx_for_each_rx_queue() with iteration over channels then RX
queues (with one exception, shortly to be removed)
- Introduce efx_get_{channel,rx_queue,tx_queue}() functions to look up
channels and queues by index
- Introduce efx_channel_get_{rx,tx}_queue() functions to look up a

Currently we allocate DMA descriptor rings and event rings using
pci_alloc_consistent() which selects non-blocking behaviour from the
page allocator (GFP_ATOMIC). This is unnecessary, and since we
currently allocate a single contiguous block for each ring (up to 32
pages!) these allocations are likely to fail if there is any
significant memory pressure. Use dma_alloc_coherent() and GFP_KERNEL
instead.

rx_over_errors appears to be intended as a count of packets that
overflow a packet buffer in the NIC. Given that we implement a
cut-through receive path, this should always be 0.
rx_dropped appears to be the correct counter for packets dropped due
to lack of host buffers.

The 'wwan' devtype is meant for devices that require preconfiguration
and *every* time setup before the ethernet interface can be used, like
cellular modems which require a series of setup commands on serial ports
or other mechanisms before the ethernet interface will handle packets.
As ipheth only requires one-per-hotplug pairing setup with no
preconfiguration (like APN, phone #, etc) and the network interface is
usable at any time after that initial setup, remove the incorrect
devtype wwan.

Ignore ADSL routers, which can have the same vendor and product IDs
as ADSL modems but should be handled by the cx82310_eth driver.
This intentionally ignores device IDs that aren't currently handled
by cx82310_eth. There may be other device IDs that perhaps shouldn't
be claimed by cxacru.

The ordering of operations was messed up in the init and as a result when
VMDQ was enabled we were trying to enable TX rings before setting the VFTE
bits. This resulted in a ring that appeared to fail to enable when in fact
it was blocked because the VFTE bits were cleared after the reset.

This patch adds NAPI support to the qeth layer 2 and layer 3
discipline. It is important to understand that we can not enable/disable
IRQs as usual, we have to use the corresponding new QDIO interface.
Also to not overdraw the budget we have to stop and restart buffer
processing at any point during processing a bulk of QDIO buffers.
Having the driver NAPI enabled it is possible to turn on GRO for the
layer 3 discipline.

Extend the qdio API to allow polling in the upper-layer driver. This
is needed by qeth to use NAPI.
To use the new interface the upper-layer driver must specify the
queue_start_poll(). This callback is used to signal the upper-layer
driver that is has initiative and must process the inbound queue by
calling qdio_get_next_buffers(). If the upper-layer driver wants to
stop polling it calls qdio_start_irq().
Since adapter interrupts are not completely stoppable qdio implements
a software bit QDIO_QUEUE_IRQS_DISABLED to safely disable interrupts for an
input queue.
The old interface is preserved and will be used as is by zfcp.

Several users report issues with 32-bit adapters when plugged
into PCI slots in machines with >= 4GB ram. In particular AMD
systems with HyperTransport to PCI bridges seem to trigger the
issue, but it isn't limited to only them.
This issue is not easily reproducible here, yet still continues
to occur in the field. For e1000 on PCI devices, just disable DMA
addresses over the 4GB boundary when in PCI (not PCI-X) mode, to
prevent the issue from continuing to pop up. The performance
impact for this is negligible.
The code was refactored to move the init of the hw struct to its
own function. This allows the init to be called very early in
probe, which then allows using hw-> members for this fix.
A slight refactor to the DMA mask code was done for minor
correctness based on the instructions in DMA-API-HOWTO.

niu_get_ethtool_tcam_all() assumes that its output buffer is the right
size, and warns before returning if it is not. However, the output
buffer size is under user control and ETHTOOL_GRXCLSRLALL is an
unprivileged ethtool command. Therefore this is at least a local
denial-of-service vulnerability.
Change it to check before writing each entry and to return an error if
the buffer is already full.

This patch introduces cx82310_eth driver - driver for USB ethernet port of
ADSL routers based on Conexant CX82310 chips. Such routers usually have
ethernet port(s) too which are bridged together with the USB ethernet port,
allowing the USB-connected machine to communicate to the network (and also
internet through the ADSL, of course).
This is my first driver, so please check thoroughly. As there's no protocol
documentation, it was done with usbsnoop dumps from Windows driver, some
parts (the commands) inspired by cxacru driver and also other usbnet drivers.
The driver passed my testing - some real work and also pings sized from 0 to
65507 B.
The only problem I found is the ifconfig error counter. When I return 0 (or 1
but empty skb) from rx_fixup(), usbnet increases the error counter although
it's not an error condition (because packets can cross URB boundaries). Maybe
the usbnet should be fixed to allow rx_fixup() to return empty skbs (or some
other value, e.g. 2)?
The USB ID of my device is 0x0572:0xcb01 which conflicts with some ADSL modems
using cxacru driver (they probably use the same chipset but simpler
firmware). The modems seem to use bDeviceClass 0 and iProduct "ADSL USB
MODEM", my router uses bDeviceClass 255 and iProduct "USB NET CARD". The
driver matches only devices with class 255 and checks for the iProduct string
during init. I already posted a patch for the cxacru driver to ignore these
devices.

This fixes a bug introduced in commit
de84727214
"3c59x: Use fine-grained locks for MII and windowed register access".
vortex_interrupt() holds vp->window_lock over multiple register
accesses to reduce locking overhead. However it also needs to call
vortex_error() sometimes, and that uses the regular functions for
access to windowed registers, which will try to acquire window_lock
again.
Therefore, drop window_lock around the call to vortex_error() and set
the window afterward reacquiring the lock. Since vortex_error() may
call vortex_rx(), which *does* require its caller to hold window_lock,
lift that call up into vortex_interrupt(). This also removes the
potential for calling vortex_rx() on a later-generation NIC.

The time_before_eq()/time_after_eq() functions operate on unsigned
long and only work if the difference between the two compared values
is smaller than half the range of unsigned long (31 bits on i386).
Some of the variables (slave->jiffies, dev->trans_start, dev->last_rx)
used by bonding store a copy of jiffies and may not be updated for a
long time. With HZ=1000, time_before_eq()/time_after_eq() will start
giving bad results after ~25 days.
jiffies will never be before slave->jiffies, dev->trans_start,
dev->last_rx by more than possibly a couple ticks caused by preemption
of this code. This allows us to detect/prevent these overflows by
replacing time_before_eq()/time_after_eq() with time_in_range().

We cannot use spinlock when kmalloc is invoked with
GFP_KERNEL flag because it can sleep.
So this patch reviews the usage of spinlock within the

Make the needed changes for the new scheme especially around PHY
initialization, and link detection.
- The get_emac_base function was changed to enable setting different MAC
access setting for each PHY based of external configuration.
- As a part of the dual-media preparation, the save_spirom_version was
modified to accept a PHY specific version address to be saved in the
shmem. This will enable to save more than single spirom version in
different locations.
- The test_link function was changed also as a preparation for the
dual-media upcoming changes
- Duplicate initialization logic was removed from the
link_setting_status and link_initialize functions

Move the code into PHY oriented functions, and for that a new structure
is defines for each PHY which contain PHY properties and its own
functions. This also enables to encapsulate all PHY specific operations
into the PHY functions. During initialization, the PHYs will be probed
by the "bnx2x_phy_probe" function to detect which PHYs exist on-board,
and configure them accordingly. Note that the ext_phy_reset
implementation was incorporated in the ext_phy_init since it is actually
part of the PHY initialization procedure.

The function has an unsigned return type, but returns a negative constant
to indicate an error condition. Another error condition in the same
function is indicated by returning 0, and indeed the only call to the
function checks for 0 to detect errors, so the return of a negative value
it converted to a return of 0.

For AR9271 chips, if partial reset is done while scanning, the cycpwrThr1
will be set to maximum. This causes the degrade in DL throughput.
So restore the ANI registers to default during the partial reset.

This algorithm chooses the best main and alt lna out of
LNA1, LNA2, LNA1+LNA2 and LNA1-LNA2 to improve rx for single
chain chips(AR9285). This would greatly improve rx when there
is only one antenna is connected with AR9285.

Sandybridge GTT has new cache control bits in PTE, which controls
graphics page cache in LLC or LLC/MLC, so we need to extend the mask
function to respect the new bits.
And set cache control to always LLC only by default on Gen6.

Arguably this is a bug in drm-core in that we should not be called twice
in succession with DPMS_ON, however this is still occuring and we see
FDI link training failures on the second call leading to the occassional
blank display. For the time being ignore the repeated call.

We were passing garbage values into the panel-fitter control register
when disabling it on Ironlake - those values (filter modes and reserved
MBZ bits) would have then be re-used the next time panel-fitting was
enabled.

When we miss the flip prepare interrupt, we never get into the
software state needed to restart userspace, resulting in a freeze of a
full-screen OpenGL application (such as a compositor).
Work around this by checking DSPxSURF/DSPxBASE to see if the page flip
has actually happened. If it has, do the work we would have done when
the flip prepare interrupt comes in.
Also, add debugfs information to tell us what's going on (based on the
patch from Chris Wilson attached to bugs.fdo bug #29798).

We reset intel_encoder for every matching encoder whilst iterating over
the encoders attached to this crtc when changing mode. As such in a
cloned configuration intel_encoder may not correspond to the correct
is_edp encoder.
By scoping intel_encoder to the loop, not only is the compiler able to
spot this mistake, we also improve readiability for ourselves.
[It might not be a mistake, within this function it is unclear as to
whether it is permissable for eDP to be cloned...]

Only stop trying if the aux channel sucessfully reports that the
transmission was completed, otherwise try again. On the 5th failure,
bail and report that something is amiss.
This fixes a sporadic failure in reading the EDID for my external panel
over DP.

If the VBIOS tells us the mapping of the SDVO device onto the DDC bus,
use it. However, if there is no VBIOS available that mapping is
uninitialised and we should fallback to our earlier guess.
Fix regression introduced in b1083333 (which in turn is a fix for the
regression caused by the introduction of this guess, 14571b4).

i965 uses the Display Registers to compute the offset from the display
base so the new base does not need adjusting when flipping. The older
chipsets use a fence to access the display and so do perceive the
surface as linear and have a single base register which is reprogrammed
using the flip.

This showed up in my audit because we use strcpy() to copy "ds" into a
32 character buffer inside the isdn_tty_dial() function. But it turns
out that we only ever use the first 32 characters so it's OK. I have
changed the declaration to make the static checkers happy.

This patch enables TCP checksum offload support for IPv6 on ibmveth.
This completely eliminates the generation and checking of the checksum
for IPv6 packets that are completely virtual and never touch a physical
network. A basic TCPIPV6_STREAM netperf run showed a ~30% throughput
improvement when an MTU of 64000 was used.
This featured is enabled by default, as is the case for IPv4 checksum
offload. When checksum offload is enabled the driver will negotiate
IPv4 and IPv6 offload with the firmware separately and enable what
is available. As long as either IPv4 or IPv6 offload is supported
and enabled the device will report that checksum offload is enabled.
The device stats, available through ethtool, will display which
checksum offload features are supported/enabled by firmware.
Performance testing against a stock kernel shows no regression for IPv4
or IPv6 in terms of throughput or processor utilization with checksum
disabled or enabled.

Remove code in the device probe function where we set up the checksum
offload feature and replace it with a call to an existing function that
is doing the same. This is done to clean up the driver in preparation

On some machines we can improve the bandwidth by ensuring rx buffers are
not in the cache. Add a module option that is disabled by default that flushes
rx buffers on insertion.

Use the existing bounce buffer if we send a buffer under a certain size.
This saves the overhead of a TCE map/unmap.
I can't see any reason for the wmb() in the bounce buffer case, if we need
a barrier it will be before we call h_send_logical_lan but we have
nothing in the common case. Remove it.

The ibmveth adapter needs locking in the transmit routine to protect
the bounce_buffer but it sets LLTX and forgets to add any of its own
locking.
Just remove the deprecated LLTX option. Remove the stats lock in the process.

At the moment we try and replenish the receive ring on every rx interrupt.
We even have a pool->threshold but aren't using it.
To limit the maximum latency incurred when refilling, change the threshold
from 1/2 to 7/8 and reduce the largest rx pool from 768 buffers to 512 which
should be more than enough.

So set the coherent dma mask accordingly. This dma mask is only used
for physical objects, so it won't really matter allocation-wise.
Now this never really surfaced because sane 32bit kernels only have 1G
of lowmem. But some eager testers (distros?) still carry around the patch
to adjust lowmem via a kconfig option. And the kernel seems to favour
high allocations on boot-up, hence the overlay blowing up reliably.
Because the patch is tiny and nicely shows how broken gen2 is it's imho
worth to merge despite the fact that mucking around with the lowmem/
highmem division is (no longer) supported.

Only fallback to a set of default modes on a connector iff that
connector is known to be connected. The issue occurs that with limited
hardware which cannot probe a connector and so reports the
connector status as unknown will then attempt to retrieve the modes for
it during drm_helper_probe_single_connector_modes(). Should that fail,
the helper then generates a default set which fools the fb_helper and
causes havoc with the console and beyond.

Polling for a VGA device on an old system can be quite expensive,
causing latencies on the order of 600ms. As we hold the mode mutex for
this time and also need the same mutex to move the cursor, we trigger a
user-visible stall.
The real solution would involve improving the granulatity of the
locking and so perhaps performing some of the probing not under the lock
or some other updates can be done under different locks. Also reducing the
cost of probing for a non-existent monitor would be worthwhile. However,
exposing a parameter to disable polling is a simple workaround in the
meantime.
In order to accommodate users turning polling on and off at runtime, the
polling is potentially re-enabled on every probe. This is coupled to
the user calling xrandr, which seems to be a vaild time to reset the
polling timeout since the information on the connection has just been
updated. (The presumption being that all connections are probed in a
single xrandr pass, which is currently valid.)

Since 2.6.36-rc1, non-root users of vhost-net fail to attach
if they are in any cgroups.
The reason is that when qemu uses vhost, vhost wants to attach
its thread to all cgroups that qemu has. But we got the API backwards,
so a non-priveledged process (Qemu) tried to control
the priveledged one (vhost), which fails.
Fix this by switching to the new cgroup_attach_task_all,
and running it from the vhost thread.

While porting GRO to r8169, I found this driver has a bug in its rx
path.
All skbs given to network stack had their ip_summed set to
CHECKSUM_NONE, while hardware said they had correct TCP/UDP checksums.
The reason is driver sets skb->ip_summed on the original skb before the
copy eventually done by copybreak. The fresh skb gets the ip_summed =
CHECKSUM_NONE value, forcing network stack to recompute checksum, and
preventing my GRO patch to work.
Fix is to make the ip_summed setting after skb copy.
Note : rx_copybreak current value is 16383, so all frames are copied...

Increased storvsc ringbuffer and max_io_requests. This now more
closely mimics the numbers on Hyper-V. And will allow more IO requests
to take place for the SCSI driver.
Max_IO is set to double from what it was before, Hyper-V allows it and
we have had appliance builder requests to see if it was a problem to
increase the number.
Ringbuffer size for storvsc is now increased because I have seen A few buffer
problems on extremely busy systems. They were Set pretty low before.
And since max_io_requests is increased I Really needed to increase the buffer
as well.

Fixed the value of the 64bit-hole inside ring buffer, this
caused a problem on Hyper-V when running checked Windows builds.
Checked builds of Windows are used internally and given to external
system integrators at times. They are builds that for example that all
elements in a structure follow the definition of that Structure. The bug
this fixed was for a field that we did not fill in at all (Because we do
Not use it on the Linux side), and the checked build of windows gives
errors on it internally to the Windows logs.
This fixes that error.

Fix missing functions for net_device_ops.
It's a bug when porting the drivers from 2.6.27 to 2.6.32. In 2.6.27,
the default functions for Ethernet, like eth_change_mtu(), were assigned
by ether_setup(). But in 2.6.32, these function pointers moved to
net_device_ops structure and no longer be assigned in ether_setup(). So
we need to set these functions in our driver code. It will ensure the
MTU won't be set beyond 1500. Otherwise, this can cause an error on the
server side, because the HyperV linux driver doesn't support jumbo frame
yet.

Certain USB devices, such as the Nokia X6 mobile phone, don't expose any
endpoint descriptors on some of their interfaces. If the ACM driver is forced
to probe all interfaces on a device the a NULL pointer dereference will occur
when the ACM driver attempts to use the endpoint of the alternative settings.
One way to get the ACM driver to probe all the interfaces is by using the
/sys/bus/usb/drivers/cdc_acm/new_id interface.
This patch checks that the endpoint pointer for the current alternate settings
is non-NULL before using it.

The command endpoint is either a bulk or interrupt endpoint, but using
the wrong type of transfer causes an error if CONFIG_USB_DEBUG is
enabled after commit f661c6f8c6, which
checks for this mismatch.
Detect which type of endpoint it is and use a bulk/int URB as
appropriate. There are other function calls specifying a bulk pipe,
but usb_clear_halt doesn't use the pipe type (only the endpoint) and
usb_bulk_msg auto-detects interrupt transfers.

S60 phones from Nokia and Samsung expose two ACM channels. The first is a modem
with a standard AT-command interface, which is picked up correctly by CDC-ACM.
The second ACM port is marked as having a vendor-specific protocol. This means
that the ACM driver will not claim the second channel by default.

When using the remove sysfs file, the device configuration is set to -1
(unconfigured). This eventually unbind drivers with the bandwidth_mutex
held. Some drivers may call functions that hold said mutex, like
usb_reset_device. This is the case for rtl8187, for example. This will
lead to the same process holding the mutex twice, which deadlocks.
Besides, according to Alan Stern:
"The deadlock problem probably could be handled somehow, but there's a
separate issue: Until the usb_disable_device call finishes unbinding
the drivers, the drivers are free to continue using their allocated
bandwidth. We musn't change the bandwidth allocations until after the
unbinding is done. So this patch is indeed necessary."
Unbinding the driver before holding the bandwidth_mutex solves the
problem. If any operation after that fails, drivers are not bound again.
But that would be a problem anyway that the user may solve resetting the
device configuration to one that works, just like he would need to do in
most other failure cases.

Unfortunately some of the hardware PID belonging to auto-install CDROM
(AICD) of Novatel modems found their way into the option module. This
causes the AICD to be treated as a modem in stead of a disk. Since the
modem ports do not appear until after the AICD is ejected, this
essentially disables the modem. After a couple of minutes the AICD
should auto-eject, but it is just too long a wait. The frequency of the
failure seems to depend on both the hardware and the linux distribution.
Here is a patch that fixes this up, and also adds a couple of new PID,
offering some explanations and removing some incomplete and unnecessary
comments.

The iounmap(ehci->ohci_hcctrl_reg); should be the first thing we do
because the ioremap() was the last thing we did. Also if we hit any of
the goto statements in the original code then it would have led to a
NULL dereference of "ehci". This bug was introduced in: 796bcae736
"USB: powerpc: Workaround for the PPC440EPX USBH_23 errata [take 3]"
I modified the few lines in front a little so that my code didn't
obscure the return success code path.

I found a bug "by chance" in drivers/char/tty_io.c
I mean "by chance" because I was just reading the code of the
tty_find_polling_driver() to make a new tty_find_by_name() function.
In tty_find_polling_driver() the driver actually test "tty_line <=
p->num" while num refers to the number of struct tty_struct pointers
allocated for the p->ttys (p is a tty_driver), and tty_line is scanned
in a tty name, which can be for example ttyS2. Then tty_line equals 2.
And if p->num is 2, we have only p->ttys[0] and p->ttys[1], but no
p->ttys[2].
This is actually unharmful, for tty_find_polling_driver() is used only
in drivers/serial/kgdboc.c, and there's a test over there to find a
console with a matching index, which will never happen.
This is still a bug anyway.

After 02f0777a0d "vc_origin" is no
longer reset to the screen buffer before calling the con_init() hook
of the new console driver.
If the old driver wasn't using a fixed scanout buffer (e.g. the case
of vgacon) "vc_origin" may be a pointer to a VRAM location, and its
contents aren't guaranteed to be preserved after calling con_deinit()
on the old driver and con_init() on the new driver, i.e. the
subsequent console resize may fill the framebuffer with garbage.
It can be reproduced in the transition from vgacon to the nouveau
framebuffer driver: in that case the legacy VGA aperture "vc_origin"
points to becomes unreadable after fbcon_init().
This patch reverts the mentioned commit. To avoid the problem it
intended to fix, stop using "vc_scr_end" in vc_do_resize() to
calculate how many rows we have to copy (actually the code looks
simpler this way without the help of "vc_scr_end").

In uCode, BT state machine need to receive open envlope
command before perform calibration; followed by close envlope
command to move to next stage.
Since Linux has two separated uCode, one for init and the second
one for runtime; we use open envlope commands for init uCode to
indicate we are ready to perform calibration operation.
But for runtime uCode, we are not doing any init calibration,
so we issue open/close envlope commands to force uCode move to
"BT COEX ON" state.

The ONLINE registers can return 0xFFFFFFFF on more than one
occassion. On systems that care, reading these registers could
lead to problems.
So the new code decides that the ASIC has encountered and error
by reading the UE_STATUS_LOW/HIGH registers. AND them with
the mask values and a non-zero result indicates an error.

Wrong packet statistics for multicast Rx was causing net-snmp error messages
every 15 seconds. Instead of picking the multicast stats from hardware,
now maintain it in the driver itself.

get_stats() method incorrectly clears a global array before folding
various stats. This can break SNMP applications.
Switch to 64 bit flavor to work on a user supplied buffer, and provide
64bit counters even on 32bit arches.
Fix a bug in bnad_netdev_hwstats_fill(), for rx_fifo_errors, missing a
folding (only the last counter was taken into account)

The tv parameter was added to disable the tv-out connector,
however, it caused a crash if it was set to 0 due to
drm_connector_init not getting called. If tv=0, don't
attempt to add the connector.

There has been periodic evidence that LVDS, on at least some
panels, prefers the dividers selected by the legacy pll algo.
This patch forces the use of the legacy pll algo on RV515
LVDS panels. The old behavior (new pll algo) can be selected
by setting the new_pll module parameter to 1.

This code was originally for forcing some clocks on certain asics.
However, this code was later moved to asic specific functions
for all of the affected asics. The only users of the original
code at this point were r600, rv770, and evergreen and the code
was not relevant for those asics. So, remove it.

vortex_ioctl() was grabbing vortex_private::lock around its call to
generic_mii_ioctl(). This is no longer necessary since there are more
specific locks which the mdio_{read,write}() functions will obtain.
Worse, those functions do not save and restore IRQ flags when locking
the MII state, so interrupts will be enabled when generic_mii_ioctl()
returns.
Since there is currently no need for any function to call
mdio_{read,write}() while holding another spinlock, do not change them
to save and restore IRQ flags but remove the specification of ordering
between vortex_private::lock and vortex_private::mii_lock.

The simplest way to stop this is just avoid doing GRO on the second port.
Very few Marvell boards support two ports per ring, and GRO is just
an optimization.

an irq_save/irq_restore in the packet receive path.

Add a call to of_node_put in the error handling code following a call to
of_find_matching_node.
This patch also moves the existing call to of_node_put after the call to
iounmap in the error handling code, to make it possible to jump to
of_node_put without doing iounmap. These appear to be disjoint operations,
so the ordering doesn't matter.
This patch furthermore changes the -ENODEV result in the error handling
code for of_find_matching_node to a return of 0, as found in the error
handling code for of_iomap, because the return type of the function is
unsigned.

Device eswitch need to configure with VM's mac address.
Hypervisor doesn't provide any utility/callbacks to get VM's mac address.
Unicast mac address filter improves performance and also provide
packet loopback capability i.e communication between VM.
Above features is by default off, can be turned on with module parameter
'mac_learn'.
