I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round. |
* 960108 Fixed end-of-file pointer (Thanks to Dan Hollis), added
* WD_TIMEOUT define.
* 960216 Added eof marker on the file, and changed verbose messages.
* 960716 Made functional and cosmetic changes to the source for
* inclusion in Linux 2.0.x kernels, thanks to Alan Cox.
* 960717 Removed read/seek routines, replaced with ioctl. Also, added
* check_region command due to Alan's suggestion.
* 960821 Made changes to compile in newer 2.0.x kernels. Added
* "cold reboot sense" entry.
* 960825 Made a few changes to code, deleted some defines and made

* typedefs to replace them. Made heartbeat reset only available
* via ioctl, and removed the write routine.
* 960828 Added new items for PC Watchdog Rev.C card.
* 960829 Changed around all of the IOCTLs, added new features,

* drivers to panic the system if it's overheating at bootup.
* 961118 Changed some verbiage on some of the output, tidied up
* code bits, and added compatibility to 2.1.x.
* 970912 Enabled board on open and disable on close.
* 971107 Took account of recent VFS changes (broke read).
