C#: Hide hostfxr not found error
Godot tries to find hostfxr in two locations, the method that tries
to retrieve the location printed an error when it was not found.
So when the first location fails it was printing an error, even if
the second location succeeded, and users were left confused thinking
there was something wrong with their installation.

Now the error will only be printed when stdout verbose is enabled.
Users will still get an error later if hostfxr is not found in any
of the two locations.

Haiku: Remove remnants of past WIP platform port
The Haiku platform port was never finalized, and moved to a separate repo in
Godot 3.2 days: https://github.com/godotengine/godot-platform-haiku

Sadly it didn't garner more interest there and is bitrotting. It was never
ported to Godot 4 so the bits of Haiku support left in Mono aren't useful.

Codestyle: Don't use auto where not warranted
We allow using auto for lambdas or complex macros where a return type
may change based on the parameters. But where the type is clear, we
should be explicit.

UWP: Remove platform port, needs to be redone from scratch for 4.x
The UWP platform port was never ported to the Godot 4.0+ API,
and it's now accumulating bitrot as it doesn't compile, and thus
we no longer propagate platform changes in it.

So we finally remove to acknowledge this state. There's still some
interest in reviving the UWP port eventually, especially as support
for Direct3D 12 will soon be merged, but when that happens it will
be easiest to redo it from scratch.

d8ff69d53c Extract ScriptInstance to simplify includes
This allows to include script_instance.h directly in the
generated gdvirtual.gen.inc, and remove excessive includes
from the codebase.

This should also allow Resource to use GDVIRTUAL macros,
which wasn't possible previously due to a circular dependency.

43a6748dfd Do not call Array default constructor when not necessary.
This fixes a bug where Array would get registered twice with the
DisposablesTracker causing an exception on shutdown.

vulkan: Update all components to Vulkan SDK 1.3.261.1
Updates to volk, vulkan headers, `vk_enum_string_helper.h`, VMA,
glslang, spirv-reflect.

VMA doesn't tag SDK releases specifically, and still hasn't had a tagged
release since 3.0.1, but the Vulkan SDK now seems to ship a recent master
commit, so we do the same.

711e96edc4 [MP] Make replication mode an enum + optimizations
REPLICATION_MODE_ALWAYS (sync) and REPLICATION_MODE_ON_CHANGE (watch)
are now mutually exclusive.

Prevent invalid NodePath from being added to the config.

Optimize the replication config loading by composing the lists on
demand.

c4705a590b Fix Object::notification order
Previously the `p_reversed` parameter didn't influence the order
in a correct way.
Also script overridden _notification functions were not called in
the correct order.

To fix this some `notification` functions had to add a `p_reversed`
parameter.

This made it necessary to adjust cpp-bindings.

SCons: Disable C++ exception handling
Upon investigating the extremely slow MSVC build times in #80513, I noticed
that while Godot policy is to never use exceptions, we weren't enforcing it
with compiler flags, and thus still included exception handling code and
stack unwinding.

This is wasteful on multiple aspects:

- Binary size: Around 20% binary size reduction with exceptions disabled
  for both MSVC and GCC binaries.
- Compile time:
  * More than 50% build time reduction with MSVC.
  * 10% to 25% build time reduction with GCC + LTO.
- Performance: Possibly, needs to be benchmarked.

Since users may want to re-enable exceptions in their own thirdparty code
or the libraries they compile with Godot, this behavior can be toggled with
the `disable_exceptions` SCons option, which defaults to true.

cca57171c1 Add error message when a GDScript resource fails to load.
Currently, GDScripts who are only loaded through `ResourceLoader::load()`,
like Autoloads, do not have a pathway to announce there is an error in their
code. This contributes to significant confusion in error projects when
autoloads are involved. At least partially closes #78230.

GDScript: Optimize operators by assuming the types
This assumes that operators are called usually with the same type of
operands as the first time. So it stores the types of the first run and
if matched it uses an optimized path by calling the validated operator
function directly. Otherwise it uses the regular untyped evaluator.

With this change, if operators do use the same type they run quite
faster. OTOH, if the types mismatch it takes longer to run than they
would with the previous code.

5e512b705e Support threads in the script debugger
* This implementation adds threads on the side of the client (script debugger).
* Some functions of the debugger are optimized.
* The profile is also now thread safe using atomics.
* The editor can switch between multiple threads when debugging.

This PR adds threaded support for the script language debugger. Every thread has its own thread local data and it will connect to the debugger using multiple thread IDs.
This means that, now, the editor can receive multiple threads entering debug mode at the same time.

d600e6eb1b Add GDExtension support for OpenXR extension wrappers
This commit adds the classes OpenXRExtensionWrapperExtension and OpenXRAPIExtension
that can be used in GDExtensions to define OpenXR extension wrappers.
It modifies extension wrapper registration so that they can be registered
before OpenXRAPI instantiation (e.g. in core level initialization of GDExtensions).

d17811c814 Re-architect how Android plugins are packaged and handled at export time
The previous packaging format for Godot Android plugins consisted of the plugin's `gdap` config file accompanied by binaries defined in the `gdap` file.
This format is now deprecated (starting with Godot 4.2), and instead Godot Android plugins are now packaged as `EditorExportPlugin` plugins.

The `EditorExportPlugin` class has been updated with the following methods to provide the necessary set of functionality:
- `_supports_platform`: returns true if the plugin supports the given platform
- `_get_android_dependencies`: retrieve the set of android dependencies (e.g: `org.godot.example:my-plugin:0.0.0`) provided by the plugin
- `_get_android_dependencies_maven_repos`: retrieve the urls of the maven repos for the provided android dependencies
- `_get_android_libraries`: retrieve the local paths of the android libraries (AAR files) provided by the plugin
- `_get_android_manifest_activity_element_contents`: update the contents of the `<activity>` element in the generated Android manifest
- `_get_android_manifest_application_element_contents`: update the contents of the `<application>` element in the generated Android manifest
- `_get_android_manifest_element_contents`: update the contents of the `<manifest>` element in the generated Android manifest

b6dc799e64 [MP] Use get/set indexed in MultiplayerSynchronizer
Allows synchronizing (sub-)resource properties, transform components,
etc. by using subnames.

As an example, `.:transform.x` will only synchronize the `x` component
of the root transform instead of the whole transform.

This can also be used to synchronize a resource own properties, as long
as they are synchronizable (i.e. the property itself is not an Object,
RID, or Callable).

- Use the name, file path and line number of the caller that invokes
`GD.PushError` and `GD.PushWarning` instead of the location in the C++
`runtime_interop.cpp` file.
- Improvements to getting the C# stack trace.
  - Use C# type keywords for built-in types in method declarations.
  - Remove extra space before each parameter in method declarations.
  - Skip one more frame to avoid `NativeInterop.NativeFuncs`.
  - Skip methods annotated with the `[StackTraceHidden]` attribute.
- Improvements to `ScriptEditorDebugger` when source is in project.
  - Avoid overriding error metadata when the source is inside the
project file.
  - Use the source function in the title when the source is inside
the project file.

Users that use these methods would expect the reported location printed
by these methods to correspond to a location in their project source files.
Specifically, they'd expect to see the file path and line number at which
they call these methods, and not the location of the C++ code (which is
always the same). Now, these methods are a lot more useful since users
can know which line in their source code printed the error/warning.

Doctool: Remove version attribute from XML header

Positive numbers shouldn't be treated as a hard failure:

> For CRTs in PEM encoding, the function parses permissively:
> if at least one certificate can be parsed, the function
> returns the number of certificates for which parsing failed

> If no certificate could be parsed, the function returns
> the first (negative) error encountered during parsing.

6c28b8edd3 GDScript: fix regression when checking for virtual function implementation.
Unfortunately it appears the virtual function checks in #77324 are not
trustworthy at runtime, because objects can have scripts attached, but
this information is not always available at compile-time. These checks
need to be removed.

The rest of the PR is still useful, making all method flags available to
the analyzer, so a full revert isn't necessary/desirable.

This reopens #76938, which will need another solution.

0defaefdba Update GridMap editor grid location when required
The GridMap editor's grid previously did not not move when moving
the tile cursor, only on certain menu actions.

This commit adds an update_grid call for valid mouse movement in
the editor, changes update_grid to only offset if there's a valid
cursor, and adds updates for the grid and cursor when a mesh library
is changed since we need the new RID for the update_grid check,
and if we remove the mesh library we want to make sure it gets
recentered. As a nice side-effect, it also updates to the new cursor
mesh if you load a new mesh library.

cbce374f68 Returns null and does not cache when the source code of the script fails to load
This usually means that an `ERR_FILE*` error occurred.

Previously, using `GDScriptCache::get_full_script()` would ignore errors during loading.
Now, all errors are not ignored.

Judging in which period the error occurred, it can be judged based on the return value:
1. null + err : Error during script loading (load_source_code()).
2. script + err: Error during script parsing.

Style: Harmonize header includes in modules
This applies our existing style guide, and adds a new rule to that style
guide for modular components such as platform ports and modules:

Includes from the platform port or module ("local" includes) should be listed
first in their own block using relative paths, before Godot's "core" includes
which use "absolute" (project folder relative) paths, and finally thirdparty
includes.

Includes in `#ifdef`s come after their relevant section, i.e. the overall
structure is:

- Local includes
  * Conditional local includes
- Core includes
  * Conditional core includes
- Thirdparty includes
  * Conditional thirdparty includes

minimp3: Add a .cpp file to simplify building the single-header implementation
Single-header libraries like this require passing a bunch of defines _once_
before including the header, but not multiple times. This can make it tricky
in user code to know when to request the implementation, if the header needs
to be included in multiple files.

So properly compiling a .cpp file for the implementation solves this, and
also enables us to properly disable warnings on thirdparty implementation code.

861743cd04 GDScript: add errors when calling unimplemented virtual functions
This PR does a small refactor of how method flags are handled in the GDScript analyzer.
This way, it adds support for the analyzer to use any of MethodInfo's flags, where previously
it could only use METHOD_FLAG_STATIC and METHOD_FLAG_VARARG.

As a side-effect, this also normalizes behavior between editor and release templates, which fixes #76938.

The tests added also brought a different issue to light, where using `super()` appears to generate a
return variable discarded on calling super's _init(), which doesn't have a return value. This should be
tackled in a different PR, which will have to change the output of this PR's tests.

Errors originating in C++ files cause unnecessary diffs whenever the engine is updated
(line number changes, etc.) and would cause CI failures due to different formatting
of the file path on Windows (backslashes, worked around here anyway) and when using
SCU builds (`../scu` insert).

006e899bb3 sort code completions with rules
Fixups

Add levenshtein distance for comparisons, remove kind sort order, try to improve as many different use cases as possible

Trying again to improve code completion

Sort code autocompletion options by similarity based on input

To make it really brief, uses a combination `String.similiary`, the category system introduced in a previous PR, and some filtering to yield more predictable results, instead of scattering every completion option at seemingly random.

It also gives much higher priority to strings that contain the base in full, closer to the beginning or are perfect matches.

Also moves CodeCompletionOptionCompare to code_edit.cpp

25c90836fd GDScript: do not warn of return value discarded for super() inside _init()
DO NOT BATCH MERGE WITH #77324, WILL RESULT IN BROKEN CI

Currently, calling super() inside _init() throws a
RETURN_VALUE_DISCARDED warning. The analyzer identifies super() as being a
constructor, which therefore returns an object of the relevant class.
However, super() isn't really a constructor by itself: in this case, it
is _part_ of the constructor, and so doesn't "return" a value.

A test case for this is already in #77324, which contains the warning. I
am duplicating it here, without the warning, and it should conflict with
the other PR.

The bindings generator doesn't require the C# runtime in order to generate
the glue, and when it the glue generation runs, it exits immediately
afterwards, so we can skip this initialization when the `--generate-mono-glue`
flag is passed in.

eeac6f8c7f [TLS] Fix crashes trying to use TLS when not available.
If no StreamPeerTLS implementation is available, HTTPClient and
WebSocketPeer will now correctly refuse to connect using TLS returning
ERR_UNAVAILABLE.

Similarly, ENetConnection will refuse to setup DTLS when PacketPeerDTLS
is not available.

6fd9982358 [TLS] Add support for platform-specific CA bundles.
Adds a new OS::get_system_ca_certs method which can be implemented by
platforms to retrieve the list of trusted CA certificates using OS
specific APIs.

The function should return the certificates in PEM format, and is
currently implemented for Windows/macOS/LinuxBSD(*)/Android.

mbedTLS will fall back to bundled certificates when the OS returns no
certificates.

(*) LinuxBSD does not have a standardized certificates store location.
    The current implementation will test for common locations and may
    return an empty string on some distributions (falling back to the
    bundled certificates).

024a4b1f2a mbedTLS: disable weak crypto and TLS versions.
This commit adds a new mbedTLS configuration header to customize the
built-in library (and can be optionally replaced by a platform-specific
one).

Currently, it disables most weak cryptographic functions (with the
notable exceptions of MD5 and SHA-1), along with removing support for
TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1 (making TLSv1.2 the only supported one).

Add support for static variables in GDScript
Which allows editable data associated with a particular class instead of
the instance. Scripts with static variables are kept in memory
indefinitely unless the `@static_unload` annotation is used or the
`static_unload()` method is called on the GDScript.

If the custom function `_static_init()` exists it will be called when
the class is loaded, after the static variables are set.

Fix CSG edge case causing intersection line to hit on common edge of 2 triangles.
The previous implementation assumed that the intersection entered or exited a
shape when it hit right on the common edge of 2 triangles. However, there is
also a case where it just "skirts" the other shape on the outside.

To fix this, we added code to check the intersection distance and if the
normals of the faces are pointed in the same direction as the intersection or
not (e.g. inner product > 0). This handles the case where the intersection
line hits the common edge of 2 triangles and skirts the other shape on the
outside.

Extended code to cover a third case.

Fixes #58637.

e74a0eff16 Adds some basic 16BPP BMP Support.
This commit adds some basic 16bpp support for BMP File Format.

Added support for reading and using of 16 bit mask values from file. All values are scaled to ARGB255 format based on bit depth of source color channel.

Removed warning, it's no longer required as 16 bit with alpha bit(s) are now supported.

Adjusted spacing, added spacing and brackets to make clang static check happy.

5d164df4e1 Make type not found errors more informative.
This PR removes a check for whether a datatype is a meta type when
generating a datatype's to_string() result. This means that error
messages that fail to find the type will now print their class names,
which is much more useful when trying to identify errors.

FBX: Disable importer when canceling FBX2glTF setup
Pretty hacky solution but it's better than an infinite loop.

All this import setup needs to be redone, it's very difficult to properly
bail out from an invalid import without triggering reimport loops.

Also fix underline not visible at default editor scale in LinkButton.

Fixes #73319.

Prevents ending up with an empty C# menu.
The option to create the C# solution no longer disappears, to avoid confusing users.
If an user tries to use it when a C# solution already exists they are warned that it will override their sln and csproj files.

add503e71d Fix basisu mipmaps
Previously basisu was storing mip maps as an array of basisu in the internal format for Texture. The new work makes sense and it generates smaller files with one image.

This pull request fixes the basisu decompression and keep the approach of 1 image. If we need to change the format in 4.x, we can still support the old format with some limitations too. Basisu from gltfpack can only output with mipmaps.

The single image will not work for StreamedTexture. We should support both approaches for CompressedTexture we use one, and for StreamedTexture we use another.

Additional error checking for hdr images and for nullptr.

GDScript: Initialize all defaults beforehand in implicit constructor
Set all the default values for typed variables before actually trying to
initialize them, including `@onready` ones.

This ensures that if validated calls are being used there will be a
value of the correct type, even if the resolution is done out of order
or deferred because of `@onready`.

Sometimes the inheritance tree is compiled out of order and the base
don't have yet a native type set. This is now changed to not rely on the
base script but use the native type set in the datatype, which is

C#: Open the solution directory when using VSCode
The solution directory used to be the same as the project
directory (`res://`). We now allow specifying a different
path for the solution and the other external editors already
use that (which seems more convenient for multi-project
scenarios).

2eadbe7b78 Fix multiplayer replication crash in on_sync_receive.
A number of early continue cases applied the packet-provided `size`
without validation, allowing large uint32_t values to be treated as
negative offsets and leading to segfaults.

Now, we validate `size` against the buffer length immediately to avoid a
crash.

This could be triggered by receiving sync data for a synchronizer who's
root node had just been removed, since the code path that checked for
unusable sync state failed to advance the offset. Thus the next read
could interpret part of the payload as such an invalid `size`.

Now, we properly advance the read offset in that case (and raise a
better error).
