f7a9866417 Fix TileMap editor drawing
the tile cursor did not follow the mouse cursor, and the tile grid was displayed wrong,
because the forward_canvas_draw_over_viewport function used the wrong xform and thus its
map_to_world is not the inverse of the mouse interactor world_to_map, making the tiles
draw from 0,0 of the screen instead of 0,0 of the tile map (which is in a different place)

cd349efb0e Minor nit-picky tweaks in spatial_editor_plugin.cpp
* Orthogonal cameras don't have an FOV that's "near zero". Or zero, or any number of degrees. It's not a measurement of degrees, it's just a fixed width. This comment is more accurate. Also, "terrible" is a better word than "awful" here.

* While I'm editing this file, the "String ortho" variable name could be more intuitive, so I've changed it to "view_mode".

Minor nit-picky changes, I know, but I found it so I may as well improve it.

Fixes GCC 5 warnings of the form:

core/io/http_client.cpp:288:9: warning: enumeration value 'STATUS_SSL_HANDSHAKE_ERROR' not handled in switch [-Wswitch]
core/io/marshalls.cpp:806:9: warning: enumeration value 'AABB' not handled in switch [-Wswitch]

Those can be trivial cases where adding a default fallback is the solution,
or more complex issues/hidden bugs where missed values are actually meant
to be handled.

We're not formally using C++11 yet so those trigger compilation warnings
(at least with GCC 5):

ce15cf8ebc fix branch on uninit in spatial_editor_plugin
Moved the initialisation of origin_enabled up a bit, to be inited before
it's accessed in _init_grid. A step towards cleaner valgrind output and
removes an opportunity for a random occurance of the origin/grid
z-fighting issue.

Also removed unused variable last_grid_snap to avoid later confusion.

d934cbcbc9 Set default CanvasItemEditor zoom shortcut to KEY_EQUAL
At least on en_US QWERTY (and various QWERTY-derived variants)
and fr_FR AZERTY, "+" is an indirect key obtained by pressing
"Shift" + "=", so using "=" in the binding makes it easier to
access.

It doesn't work this way on other layouts like de_DE QWERTZ though,
but since 'script_editor/zoom_in' also uses KEY_EQUAL, setting
the same for consistency.

Fixes #22067.

5fe01d4cfc Move ParticlesMaterial code to its own resource file
It's shared by both 2D and 3D particles (+ CPU ones), so it makes sense
to have as a common resource. It also allowed to disable compilation of
Particles (3D) when using 'disable_3d'.

Also cleaned up includes in SpatialEditorGizmos and some other places,
as well as dropped dead code in material_editor_plugin.cpp.

b58bb95c86 Saner selection code for instanced scenes in 3D, should close #21447
Selecting instanced scenes still doesn't work properly because gizmos are not being added to instanced nodes.
I will probably work on fixing all the shenanigans around selection, but that will take some time.
This part of the code should work better for the moment.

Fix occasional crash when downloading assets from the Asset Library
This is caused by GitHub not publishing a Content-Length header in
all cases (it only does so if the file was requested recently),
which in turn made `String.humanize_size()` try to humanize a size of
-1 byte (as returned by HTTPRequest when no Content-Length
is contained in the response).
This crashed the editor due to a division by zero.

This closes #21200.

2a02f44ad9 Don't try to update the visual shader graph if it doesn't exist yet
When setting shader mode on a visual shader that was just created in the
editor we try to _update_graph(). However, the graph does not yet exist
in the visualshadereditor. This gets populated in
VisualShaderEditor::edit() which hasn't been called yet.

This PR simply changes the logic to not try to update the non-existent
graph.

This fixes #20322

0e29f7974b Reduce unnecessary COW on Vector by make writing explicit
This commit makes operator[] on Vector const and adds a write proxy to it.  From
now on writes to Vectors need to happen through the .write proxy. So for
instance:

Vector<int> vec;
vec.push_back(10);
std::cout << vec[0] << std::endl;
vec.write[0] = 20;

Failing to use the .write proxy will cause a compilation error.

In addition COWable datatypes can now embed a CowData pointer to their data.
This means that String, CharString, and VMap no longer use or derive from
Vector.

_ALWAYS_INLINE_ and _FORCE_INLINE_ are now equivalent for debug and non-debug
builds. This is a lot faster for Vector in the editor and while running tests.
The reason why this difference used to exist is because force-inlined methods
used to give a bad debugging experience. After extensive testing with modern
compilers this is no longer the case.

3f09cac267 Fix shortcuts using KEY_MASK_CTRL instead of KEY_MASK_CMD
KEY_MASK_CMD is automatically replaced by KEY_MASK_CTRL on non-OSX
and KEY_MASK_META (Command key) on OSX, so it should be used for all
Ctrl/Cmd + key shortcuts.

Also de-hacked the macOS shortcut replacements with proper conditional
definition. Not tested on macOS, cannot judge if they are good shortcuts.

Fixes #10761.

59c2c21b15 Move NavigationMeshEditorPlugin to Recast module as should be
Modules can register their own editor plugins (like GridMap does),
so no need to put module-specific classes in the `editor/` folder.

Also cleans up the previous SCons env pollution from the Recast
module, integrating its code into libmodules as other modules.

* image.cpp: Doesn't really need any modification. But to remove the bug
report then we have to move the MAX call away from the for loop
statement.

* rasterizer_gles3.cpp: Removes unnecessary elif condition since it is
checked earlier in the function

* collada.cpp: If stamement never reached due to macro ERR_CONTINUE does
the same.

* navigation_mesh.cpp: Variables should always be null - however, also
checked for the very same condition in their function call. Leaving this
for review (whether the function call is necessary or not)

* path_editor_plugin.cpp: If cancel is true, then it should restore the
edited value to the original provided.

* spatial_editor_gizmos.cpp: the very condition of i >= 3 is

Fixes most current reports on Coverity Scan of uninitialized scalar
variable (CWE-457): https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/457.html

These happen most of the time (in our code) when instanciating structs
without a constructor (or with an incomplete one), and later returning
the instance. This is sometimes intended though, as some parameters are
only used in some situations and should not be double-initialized for
performance reasons (e.g. `constant` in ShaderLanguage::Token).

It seems that popups were intended to "grab" the mouse click that triggered them, but their intent was being lost. This commit does the necessary changes to let it happen and updates items that were trying to get advantage of it, because the semantics of `Control::grab_click_focus()` have changed a bit. Namely, it must be called **before** showing the modal.

This allows to popup a menu and activate an item in it in a single click-point-release cycle, instead of having to click once to open the menu and once more to pick an item.

This ability is extended even to context menus activated with the RMB (or any other mouse button, for that matter). The editor benefits from this in the context menu of the tree dock, which has been patched to opt-in for this feature.

This improves UX a bit by saving unnecessary clicks.

From now on, `PopupMenu` always grabs the click and also invalidates the first button release unless the mouse has moved (that's what `set_invalidate_click_until_motion()` was doing and now it's removed), so there is no longer the need of doing both things at every point a pop-up menu is shown.

a492d22952 Mesh: fix crash when creating mesh outline from QuadMesh
Since create_outline can only make outline for PRIMITIVE_TRIANGLES,
when QuadMesh (which is PRIMITIVE_TRIANGLE_FAN) is used to create
outline, will leave `arrays` empty, and crash when it is being indexed
for "indices" subarray.

This PR shows error when there's only one surface and it is not
TRIANGLES. Also prevent the crash if it has more than one surface
and none of them are TRIANGLES (and any other cases that could leave
`arrays` empty) by checking the size of `arrays` == 8 before indexing
it, since the method seems to expect `arrays` to be of that size.

ab3b1d9f3e Add radio-button-looking entries to PopupMenu
They work exactly the same as current checkbox-decorated items, but in order to preserve compatibility, separate methods are used, like `add_radio_check_item()`. The other option would have been to add a new parameter at the end of `add_check_item()` and the like, but that would have forced callers to provide the defaults manually.

`is_item_checkable()`, `is_item_checked()` and `set_item_checked()` are used regardless the item is set to look as check box or radio button.

Keeping check in the name adds an additional clue about these facts.

Closes #13055.

There was a percent-prefixed version, which was exposed, and a http-prefixed version which was not (only to GDNative).
This commit keeps the percent-prefixed versions, but with the http-prefixed implementations.

23ebae01dc Refactor version macros and fix related bugs
The previous logic with VERSION_MKSTRING was a bit unwieldy, so there were
several places hardcoding their own variant of the version string, potentially
with bugs (e.g. forgetting the patch number when defined).

The new logic defines:

- VERSION_BRANCH, the main 'major.minor' version (e.g. 3.1)
- VERSION_NUMBER, which can be 'major.minor' or 'major.minor.patch',
  depending on whether the latter is defined (e.g. 3.1.4)
- VERSION_FULL_CONFIG, which contains the version status (e.g. stable)
  and the module-specific suffix (e.g. mono)
- VERSION_FULL_BUILD, same as above but with build/reference name
  (e.g. official, custom_build, mageia, etc.)
  Note: Slight change here, as the previous format had the build name
  *before* the module-specific suffix; now it's after
- VERSION_FULL_NAME, same as before, so VERSION_FULL_BUILD prefixed
  with "Godot v" for readability

Bugs fixed thanks to that:

- Export templates version matching now properly takes VERSION_PATCH
  into account by relying on VERSION_FULL_CONFIG.
- ClassDB hash no longer takes the build name into account, but limits
  itself to VERSION_FULL_CONFIG (build name is cosmetic, not relevant
  for the API hash).
- Docs XML no longer hardcode the VERSION_STATUS, this was annoying.
- Small cleanup in Windows .rc file thanks to new macros.

- The input handling is done into several distinct functions, and the
  code is more consistent.
- The actions' history is more precise ("Edited CanvasItem"

- Fixed a little bug about input key events not forwarded correctly to plugins
- IK is followed by default when you move a bone node, the alt-key allow
  you to move it normally

a55870cd81 Adds an option to move cursor with right click in TextEdit
Fixes #14832
- Added an option in the editor settings/cursor to make the cursor move with right click.
- If the option is activated (true by default), a right click will move the cursor before displaying context menu.
 - If there is a selection, a right click on it will keep it selected, a right click outside it will unselect it.
 - The option is available in textEdit via an inspector property (or via GDScript): caret_moving_by_right_click
 - The option is available in the script editor and the shader editor via the editor settings
 - The documentation has been updated with the new property, and a few other entries in TextEdit.xml.

f139d0e4e6 Account for folded code blocks when navigating via members list
Previously, the editor would attempt to set the scroll position to the
function's line number, but this would result in an invalid scroll
whenever functions above the target were folded.

This changes callback to use a combination of `goto_line` and
`set_edit_state` to navigate to the target line and reset the cursor to
column 0.

Using `goto_line` also has the side effect of automatically unfolding
the target function, which seems like useful behavior.

Fixes #14572.

Fix #13180
As the same shortcut cannot be assigned to two actions, I removed the ability to fold (fold_line()) or unfold (unfold_line()) via menu (still possible by code), and there is a single fold/unfold action (toggle_fold_line()).

The new default shortcut is now Alt+F

3f31925b18 Universalize draw-over API for EditorPlugins
- Now it is usable from both `CanvasItem` and `Spatial` editors.
- `EditorPlugin` API changes:
 - `forward_draw_over_canvas()` becomes `forward_draw_over_viewport()`.
 - `update_canvas()` becomes `update_overlays()`, which now triggers the update of every overlay on top of any 2D or 3D viewports present. Also now it returns the number of such viewports, which is useful whenever you need to know the number of draw-over calls you'll get.
 - New: `[set/is]_force_draw_over_forwarding_enabled()` to force overlaying regardless it handles the current object type, in a similar fashion as `[set/is]_input_event_forwarding_always_enabled`. This kind of overlay is also on top of those for regular handled node types.
 - New: `forward_force_draw_over_canvas()`, which is the callback that gets called for plugins that enable forced overlaying.

Fixed translation i local space - changed a bit how it was implemented.
Fixed bug with rotations when object is scaled.
Added safety check preventing scaling to 0 in local space.
All Gizmoz display numerical output message on the bottom of the viewport.
Unified code a bit, so it will be easier to maintain.

de42e53671 Freelook interpolation fixes
- Smooth freelook position more explicitely
- Don't let orbit zoom produce translation when it shouldn't
- Make base speed framerate-independent (and tweaked setting for that)
- Don't rely on camera for calculations because it no longer reflect immediate state
- Avoid potential divide-by-zero with zoom inertia
- Make speed/zoom relation optional (if enabled, speed is adjusted from zoom)
- Never change zoom distance when freelook is active
- Orbit inertia also applies on freelook

Added support for axis locked scaling with handles, supports both world and local space. Local space recommended for most editing tasks.
Also fixed some small bugs, polished Gizmo looks and cleaned up some dead code.
