91e9ad92f5 Refactor baking code for Curve2D
The main change is to caculate tangent directly from bezier curve, without going
through discretized polyline, avoiding pitfalls of discretization. A similar refacor
had been applied to Curve3D.

The test cases for Curve2D is updated, comparing floating point with is_equal_approxmiate()
instead of `==`, in order to avoid float precision problem.

e46e70f8ee Improved TextEdit::add_selection_for_next_occurrence test case
It covers additional selections of different words, as well manually adding a cursor in between and selecting the next occurrence. The previous test also was outdated in regards of not testing the implicit call to `select_word_under_caret` made by `add_selection_for_next_occurrence` in case there's no selection.

7d15ecc3af Add Selection and Caret for Next Occurrence of Selection
Adds the bind `add_selection_for_next_occurrence` to TextEdit, with CTRL+D as the default shortcut.

When the bind is performed, ff a selection is currently active with the last caret in text fields, searches for the next occurrence of the selection, adds a caret and selects the next occurrence.

If no selection is currently active with the last caret in text fields, selects the word currently under the caret.

The action can be performed sequentially for all occurrences of the selection of the last caret and for all existing carets. The viewport is adjusted to the latest newly added caret.

The bind and the behaviour is similar to VS Code's "Add Selection to Next Find Match" and JetBrains' "Add Selection for Next Occurrence". It takes advantage of the multi-caret API.

The default shortcut for `select_word_under_caret` has been changed to ALT+G, in order to give priority to CTRL+D for `add_selection_for_next_occurrence` to better align with popular IDEs and editors.

fd6453c45e Revert "Remove NOTIFICATION_ENTER_TREE when paired with NOTIFICATION_THEME_CHANGED"
This reverts commit 4b817a565c.

Fixes #64988.
Fixes #64997.

This caused several regressions (#64988, #64997,
https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/64997#issuecomment-1229970605)
which point at a flaw in the current logic:

- `Control::NOTIFICATION_ENTER_TREE` triggers a *deferred* notification with
  `NOTIFCATION_THEME_CHANGED` as introduced in #62845.
- Some classes use their `THEME_CHANGED` to cache theme items in
member variables (e.g. `style_normal`, etc.), and use those member
  variables in `ENTER_TREE`, `READY`, `DRAW`, etc. Since the `THEME_CHANGE`
notification is now deferred, they end up accessing invalid state and this
can lead to not applying theme properly (e.g. for EditorHelp) or crashing
  (e.g. for EditorLog or CodeEdit).

So we need to go back to the drawing board and see if `THEME_CHANGED` can be
called earlier so that the previous logic still works?

Or can we refactor all engine code to make sure that:
- `ENTER_TREE` and similar do not depend on theme properties cached in member
  variables.
- Or `THEME_CHANGE` does trigger a general UI update to make sure that any
bad theme handling in `ENTER_TREE` and co. gets fixed when `THEME_CHANGE`
does arrive for the first time. But that means having a temporary invalid
(and possibly still crashing) state, and doing some computations twice
which might be heavy (e.g. `EditorHelp::_update_doc()`).

Implements the standard Unix double dash (--) commandline argument:

This was removed in #63481, and we confirmed that it's better like this,
but we add back the possibility to strip CR as an option, to optionally
restore the previous behavior.

For performance this is done directly in `String::parse_utf8`.

Also fixes Android `FileAccess::get_line()` as this one _should_ strip CR.

67a260d63f Implement a Worker ThreadPool
This PR implements a worked thread pool. It uses a fixed amount of threads in a pool and allows scheduling tasks
that can be run on threads (and then waited for). It satisfies the following use cases:

* HTML5 thread count is fixed (and similar restrictions are known in consoles) so we need to reuse threads.
* Thread spawning is slow in general, so reusing threads is faster anyway.
* This implementation supports recursive waiting for tasks, making it less prone to deadlocks if threads from the pool also run tasks.

After this is approved and merged, subsequent PRs will be needed to replace the ThreadWorkPool usage by this class.

* Map is unnecessary and inefficient in almost every case.

* Renamed Map to RBMap and Set to RBSet for cases that still make sense

There were very few cases where replacing by HashMap was undesired because
keeping the key order was intended.

some. Review appreciated!

8b7c7f5a75 Add a new HashMap implementation
Adds a new, cleaned up, HashMap implementation.

* Uses Robin Hood Hashing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_table#Robin_Hood_hashing).
* Keeps elements in a double linked list for simpler, ordered, iteration.
* Allows keeping iterators for later use in removal (Unlike Map<>, it does not do much
for performance vs keeping the key, but helps replace old code).
* Uses a more modern C++ iterator API, deprecates the old one.
* Supports custom allocator (in case there is a wish to use a paged one).

This class aims to unify all the associative template usage and replace it by this one:
* Map<> (whereas key order does not matter, which is 99% of cases)
* HashMap<>
* OrderedHashMap<>
* OAHashMap<>

As discussed in #57725 and clarified in #57788, `SNAME` is not meant to be used

051ef479c9 Allow method binds to take Object subclasses as arguments
This commit adds a condition to VariantCaster that casts Variants of type OBJECT to any type T, if T is derived from Object.
This change enables a fair bit of code cleanup. First, the Variant implicit cast operators for Node and Control can be removed, which allows for some invalid includes to be removed. Second, helper methods in Tree whose sole purpose was to cast arguments to TreeItem * are no longer necessary.
A few small changes also had to be made to other files, due to the changes cascading down all the includes.

84a69d7429 Improve the default project theme
The new default project theme uses StyleBoxFlat extensively for
a more modern design and better scalability to multiple resolutions.

SVG icons are now used in place of PNG icons. While this does not
allow for true vector-based icon drawing (icons are still rasterized
at load-time), this makes the design work easier for contributors
and opens the door to vector drawing in the future (e.g. with polygons
or SDFs).

Like for editor icons, the SVG header file is now built automatically
when a SVG file is changed. This removing the need for running
`make_header.py` manually (TODO).

The "Use Hidpi" project setting has been removed in favor of a
"Default Theme Scale" project setting, which allows creating the
default theme at a higher/lower scale than the default.
This can be used when designing GUIs with a high base resolution
to ensure crisp visuals.

Array: Relax slice bound checks to properly handle negative indices
The same is done for `Vector` (and thus `Packed*Array`).

`begin` and `end` can now take any value and will be clamped to
`[-size(), size()]`. Negative values are a shorthand for indexing the array
from the last element upward.

`end` is given a default `INT_MAX` value (which will be clamped to `size()`)
so that the `end` parameter can be omitted to go from `begin` to the max size
of the array.

This makes `slice` works similarly to numpy's and JavaScript's.

e4e4e475f8 Make --doctool locale aware
* Adds `indent(str)` to `String`:
    * Indent the (multiline) string with the given indentation.
    * This method is added in order to keep the translated XML correctly
      indented.
* Moves the loading of tool/doc translation into
  `editor/editor_translation.{h,cpp}`.
    * This will be used from both `EditorSettings` and the doc tool from
      `main`.
* Makes use of doc translation when generating XML class references, and
setup the translation locale based on `-l LOCALE` CLI parameter.

The XML class reference won't be translated if `-l LOCALE` parameter is
not given, or when it's `-l en`.

Don't return reference on copy assignment operators
We prefer to prevent using chained assignment (`T a = b = c = T();`) as this
can lead to confusing code and subtle bugs.

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assignment_operator_(C%2B%2B), C++
allows any arbitrary return type, so this is standard compliant.

This could be re-assessed if/when we have an actual need for a behavior more
akin to that of the C++ STL, for now this PR simply changes a handful of
cases which were inconsistent with the rest of the codebase (`void` return
type was already the most common case prior to this commit).

d03b7fbe09 Refactored Node3D rotation modes
* Made the Basis euler orders indexed via enum.
* Node3D has a new rotation_order property to choose Euler rotation order.
* Node3D has also a rotation_mode property to choose between Euler, Quaternion and Basis

Exposing these modes as well as the order makes Godot a lot friendlier for animators, which can choose the best way to interpolate rotations.
The new *Basis* mode makes the (exposed) transform property obsolete, so it was removed (can still be accessed by code of course).

511c80b2ec Fix segment intersection consistency in Geometry2D
Segment collision results could be different depending on the direction
when they exactly touch (order of the points in segments). This was due
to the way parallelism was checked, using different logic based on
positive or negative sign of cross products.

Now the results are the same whatever the direction, without changing
the current design, which is that parallel or colinear segments are
not considered colinear.

Fixes inconsistencies with raycasts exactly on edges of convex shapes
depending on the direction.

8a6fc54ccd Curve2D/Curve3D: exact linear interpolation
While calculating interpolated points, intervals between two baked
points has been assummed to be `baked_interval`. The assumption could
cause significant error in some extreme cases (for example #7088).

To improve accuracy, `baked_dist_cache` is introduced, which stores
distance from starting point for each baked points. `interpolate_baked`
now returns exact linear-interpolated position along baked points.

Reformat structure string operators
The order of numbers is not changed except for Transform2D. All logic is done inside of their structures (and not in Variant).

For the number of decimals printed, they now use String::num_real which works best with real_t, except for Color which is fixed at 4 decimals (this is a reliable number of float digits when converting from 16-bpc so it seems like a good choice)

- Refactor how the RPC id is computed to minimize the logic in Node and

Make all file access 64-bit (uint64_t)
This changes the types of a big number of variables.

General rules:
- Using `uint64_t` in general. We also considered `int64_t` but eventually
settled on keeping it unsigned, which is also closer to what one would expect
  with `size_t`/`off_t`.
- We only keep `int64_t` for `seek_end` (takes a negative offset from the end)
and for the `Variant` bindings, since `Variant::INT` is `int64_t`. This means
we only need to guard against passing negative values in `core_bind.cpp`.
- Using `uint32_t` integers for concepts not needing such a huge range, like
  pages, blocks, etc.

In addition:
- Improve usage of integer types in some related places; namely, `DirAccess`,
  core binds.

Note:
- On Windows, `_ftelli64` reports invalid values when using 32-bit MinGW with
version < 8.0. This was an upstream bug fixed in 8.0. It breaks support for
big files on 32-bit Windows builds made with that toolchain. We might add a
  workaround.

Fixes #44363.
Fixes godotengine/godot-proposals#400.
